"Watercolour is a very English medium. This is why I use it mostly when painting in Britain or Europe. Paris is just as beautiful in the depth of winter as London and the buildings are more visible once the trees are bare. In fact using pen line has it's advantages when the branches and twigs make such interesting patterns against a dull sky."
