Mari I'Anson has worked on murals in museums and in schools. As artist-in-residence she has produced work with pupils at Deansbrook Junior School in Mill Hill decorating walls in various areas of the school buildings In Thailand and Singapore she taught and painted with pupils.

Mari was also commissioned by the Finchley Society to paint a mural for the Octavia Hill Birthplace House in Wisbech. The painting depicts scenes from Octavia Hills early childhood days in Finchley. Later she was to be co-founder of The National Trust
