Mari I'Anson has painted all her life, from early childhood through Art School and subsequently working as an illustrator. Her career involved her in the world of publicity, publishing and general design.
In recent years Mari has spent winter months drawing and painting whilst travelling the length and breadth of Thailand, India, Singapore, Mexico and in Tokyo. Filling sketchbooks which she has used as a basis for turning into finished watercolours and oils. Her ability to work at speed enabled her to amass a large amount of work which has exhibited at home and abroad.
She has worked as artist-in-residence in schools in Singapore, Bangkok, and in North London, and has demonstrated her skills and lectured to schools and art societies.
Mari is a member of the United Society of Artists, has an entry in 'Who's Who in Art', and has written and illustrated features for various art magazines. She has produced a book; 'Mari I'Anson's Finchley Sketchbook'.
